CARLISLE TOWNSHIP SCHEDULES ADDITIONAL DUMPSTER DAY-
The Carlisle Township Board of Trustees voted to schedule an additional dumpster day for township residents to alleviate some of the problems during the transition to the blue cart program implemented by Allied Waste. The special dumpster day is scheduled for Saturday, August 2nd from 9:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. at the Town Hall parking lot (11969 LaGrange Road).
Residents will be required to show a picture ID. The traffic pattern for this dumpster day will vary from the regular dumpster days.
Items being accepted are scrap metals, appliances, furniture, electronics, motor oil, non-ferrous metals, automotive batteries, tires off the rims, cardboard, tree an yard brush, and other large items not accepted at the curb by Allied Waste. The recycling center will be open for all the regular recyled items. NO garbage, NO chemicals, and NO paint will be accepted.

Saturday, August 16, 2008 Sponsored by Carlisle Firefighter Local 2979 and Amvets Post 32
All proceeds to benefit Carlisle Township Fire Department and Amvets Post 32
Registration starts at 10:00AM at the Carlisle Fire Station with the first bike/car out at 11:00am and the last bike/car in at the hall by 5:30pm. Cost is $20.00 per bike or car and an additional $5.00 for rider. For additional information call Louis hodge at 440-773-2923.
