19th ANNUAL “LIGHT UP CARLISLE” HOLIDAY LIGHTING CONTEST

Carlisle Township Residents can enter their outdoor lighting display or a neighbor’s display in the “Light Up Carlisle” Holiday Lighting Contest. Residents name, address, and telephone number can be mailed to Carlisle Township, 11969 LaGrange Road, LaGrange, OH 44050 or entry may be made by a telephone call to Lynda Jacobs at the Township’s Administrative Office at 458-5667.
Entries must be received by Monday, December 5th. Judging will take place between Saturday, December 10th and Sunday, December 18th. Lights should be on from dusk to 11:00PM during this time period. Prizes will be awarded for first place, second place, third place, and Honorable Mention.
If you would like to be a judge for the lighting displays please call the Administrative Office at 458-5667. So let’s light up Carlisle Township during this holiday season.

ZONING OFFICE HAS MOVED

The Township's Zoning Office is now located at the Administrative Assistant's Office in the new Fire Station at 11950 LaGrange Road, LaGrange. Zoning mailing address is still 11969 LaGrange Road, LaGrange, OH 44050. For zoning information please call Zoning Inspector Lynda Jacobs at 440-458-5667.

CLOSING OF TOWN HALL RECYCLING CENTER

The Board of Trustees of Carlisle Township regrets that the Town Hall Drop-Off Recycling Center on LaGrange Road will be closed on October 28th, 2011. Recent cut backs to the Local Government Funds and the discontinuance of Solid Waste grant money from the County have made it necessary to close the drop-off site. Township residents can continue to recycle at curbside with their Allied Waste/Republic green carts, or at the Lorain County Collection Center on Abbe Road. If you have any questions on recycling please call the Township’s Administrative Office at 458-5667.

PUBLIC WALKING AT CARLISLE TOWNSHIP TOWN HALL

The Carlisle Township Town Hall at 11969 LaGrange Road (across from the Fire Station), is open to the public for walking from 8:30am to 10:30am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (closed on holidays). This is a great opportunity to beat the winter weather and walk indoors in a warm and ice free environment. So grab your spouse, neighbors, or anyone who is interested and get your steps in at the Carlisle Township Town Hall. Walk for a few minutes or walk for two hours. Walk at your own pace.

Entrance for walkers is the side door in the middle of the Town Hall on the south side. For additional information on the walking program contact Lynda Jacobs at the Township’s Administrative Office at 458-5667.
